Mission
Columbia International Institute enables students
to design a individualized academic program.
We’re different

Five Term
Starting in September :
- Four 15-week terms that begin in September, November, January
and March
- A May term that features an 8-week and a 15-week session
- Ample time to plan your studies with your mentor and gather
your study materials

Faculty Montors
- Provide personal attention and intensive academic advising
- Work with you from orientation to graduation
- Help you design a programs, review your prior learning and
coordinate your studies with other faculty
Flexibility
- Guided, independent study with a mentor or tutor, with meetings

- Web-based, online distance learning courses
- Residencies in certain programs – intensive weekend learning

Value your Pre-credit
We are a pioneer in recognizing the value of your prior, college-level
learning, gained or documented through:
- Work and life experience
- Licenses and training (military, law enforcement, etc.)
- Standardized tests etc.
- Previous coursework at other colleges
Transfer
- Agreements with many colleges to accept the maximum credit
from courses
- Previous college credits are accepted if:
- They come from regionally accredited colleges or institutions.
- You earned course grades of “C-” or better
- The credits fit in the degree program that you design
Courses
credits vary according to program
- Doctoral Courses (60 credits)
- Bachelor’s Courses (120 credits)
- Master’s Courses( 36 credits )
Center
- Students are never required to visit the center’s administrative
offices.
- Students interact with faculty and staff via phone, e-mail,
fax and the Internet
Requirements for Courses
Your individualized program plan includes:
- General education core requirements
- Studies in the liberal arts and sciences
- Studies to establish a concentration (major)
- At least 32 credits at the college for a bachelor’s courses
level
- Advanced-level studies for a bachelor’s courses

Undergraduate Fee

1. $100/credit = $11,950 for 120-credit under studies
2. $165/credit=$5,950 for 36-credit in Master
3. $215/credit=$6,450 for 30-credit in Ph.D
